Heavy focus on marksmanship
Service Description
PR 1 covers shooting your rifle and learning how to get the most out of what you got. This course will run you through a variety of exercises and drills to help you understand how what you do behind the rifle affects what the bullet does at the target. This is not a long range class, heavy focus is placed on marksmanship. Depending on range location used we may shoot out to 200 or 300 yards. This is the class everyone thinks they can skip as they know how to shoot already. They waste a lot of ammo by skipping this class. Equipment list: Rifle capable of 2 MOA or less (recommend non-magnum calibers) Optic with at least 3x if fixed magnification (with the tools and manual) 100 rounds of match grade ammunition Bipod/front support Rear Bag/Rear support (your hand doesn’t cut it) Eye and Ear protection (plugs recommended) Shooting mat Note Pad and writing instrument Water, Snacks, sunscreen, bug spray and outside all weather clothing Everything else is optional
